Welcome to our Frequently Asked Questions section (FAQ’s), here you will find information regarding most of our most asked questions.
Q: What is karaoke?
A: Karaoke is an entertainment system whereby the user sings along to a music video that contains lyrics to the song, the lyrics change as the song changes. The vocals of the original artist may have been electronically removed.
Q: Can I have karaoke at my party?
A: Yes. You can have karaoke at almost any party. Should you like more advice on karaoke, just Give us a call for more info and we will assist.
Q: How many karaoke songs do you have?
A: Our DIY karaoke packages have over 1,200 karaoke hits. Our full karaoke packages have over 12,000 songs. View our View our karaoke packages for more info for more info.
Q: How will I know which package is right for me?
A: You can start by going through our View our karaoke packages for more information to decide which package will suite your party based on the number of guests you will be inviting, you may also decide if you would like a DJ, operator or if you would like to operate the karaoke yourself. If you need more advice, please do Contact us for more information.
Q: How do I make a booking for a karaoke unit?
A: All you have to do is simply fill out our Fill out enquiry form to make a booking and we will put together a quote for you. Once you are happy with the quote you may send it back to us and we will reserve your karaoke unit for you.
Q: Do you have any karaoke packages for teens or kids?
A. Yes we do. Our ‘Teen & Kids DIY karaoke’ as well as our ‘Full Karaoke & DJ packages’ are suitable for teens and kids. You may find the packages on our View our karaoke packages and pricing info page.
Q: I would only like a DJ and no karaoke, is it possible?
A: Yes. All you have to do is browse our View our DJ packages and pricing info and select a package that suites you the most. We are able to customise each package to suite your individual needs. If you are having a teen party and you would only like a DJ, then feel free to view our Teen DJ website for more info.
Q: Where do you travel to?
A: We primarily cater for the Gauteng region (Johannesburg, Pretoria and surrounding) however we do travel to surrounding provinces as well.
Q: Can I view the songs that come with the karaoke systems before we make a booking?
A. Yes. You may view our View our karaoke packages, at the bottom of each package is a download link for the songs. All song lists are in Adobe PDF format.
Q: Is your setup and take down time included in our quote times?
A: We only charge from the time we start playing to the time we end. The time period of 1 hour before we start and 1 hour after we finish will be used to setup and break down equipment, this is not charged for.
Q: If I would like you to arrive much earlier than what my function is scheduled to start, can this be done?
A: Yes. We are able to setup much earlier. There is a waiting fee that can be included.
Q: Can you setup outdoors?
A: We are able to setup outdoors, provided that we have a fully covered area away from rain and direct sunlight. We will also need to have the area where our power cables run covered as any rain can cause short circuiting to our power.
Q: What happens if I would like my function to run much later then booked?
A: For functions with DJ’s or operators, you can simply let them know and they will be able to stay later. An overtime rate is chargeable, please see your quote for details. For DIY karaoke systems, you are welcome to keep it for more days, provided you agree to an overtime charge on a daily rate basis.
Q: What happens if I would like to cancel a booking?
A: Should you like to cancel a booking you will be liable for a cancellation fee of 50% of the quote total. Please see our View our terms and conditions of service for more info.
Q: Why am I liable for a 50% cancellation fee once I would like to cancel my karaoke or DJ service?
A: We only take 1 booking per system. Once you have booked, we no longer take any bookings for that date. That means we do not double book your date for you and we turn down all other enquiries for that date hence that is why we do not refund your deposit payment.
Q: Can I move my function date?
A: Yes you are welcome to. Provided we do have availability on the newly requested date. A change of date constitutes a cancellation and a rebooking. Should the requested date not be available, a cancellation shall take place.
Q: What happens if I would like to postpone a booking?
A: You are able to postpone a booking, simply let us know. Once you have selected a new date just let us know and we will book it for you provided we have availability for the new date.
Q: What is required on the day of the function?
A: We will require a table (2m x 1m long or anything similar) with a table cloth and chair. A standard South African power outlet (220V) as well as safe off loading and on loading parking.
Q: Can we read your terms of service before we make a booking?
A: Yes. Please request a quote, once you receive your quote it will include our standard terms and conditions of rental. You may also view our View our terms of hire.
Q: I am not sure if I will have a power outage during my function. Can your equipment run on a generator?
A: Yes. Our equipment required a 3kVA or higher generator.
Q: Do you supply generators?
A: Yes we do. These are quoted for separately, please Contact us for more info for pricing.
Q: Do we need to feed you at a function?
A: You are not required to provide a meal. However it will be much appreciated.
Q: Where are you based?
A: Our offices are based in Germiston, Johannesburg. However we cater for the whole of Gauteng and surrounding provinces.
